Iconography
10 de April, 2024What is graphic design?
12 de April, 2024“Three-dimensional” (3D) refers to objects or spaces that have length, width, and depth. These dimensions allow for the representation of physical objects as they exist in the real world, providing a more realistic and immersive experience for viewers or users. In contrast to two-dimensional (2D) representations, which are flat and lack depth.
Physical objects: Sculptures, models, and architectural structures are examples of physical objects that exist in three dimensions. They can be viewed and interacted with from different angles to perceive their full form and volume.
Digital models: In computer graphics and animation, we create three-dimensional models by using specialized software. These digital representations can range from simple geometric shapes to complex characters, environments, and simulations.
Virtual environments: Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies create immersive digital environments that users can explore and interact with in three dimensions.
Where the term “3D” is commonly used
3D Art: This refers to artwork that has depth and volume. For example sculptures, installations, and architectural models. Artists working in three dimensions use various materials and techniques. Such as objects that you can see from multiple angles.
3D Modeling: In computer graphics. 3D modeling involves creating digital representations of objects or scenes using specialized software. These models can range from simple geometric shapes to highly detailed characters, environments, and visual effects for movies, video games, and simulations.
3D Printing: 3D printing is a process of creating physical objects by depositing successive layers of material. Such as plastic, metal, or resin, based on a digital 3D model. This technology has revolutionized prototyping, manufacturing, and customization across various industries. It is a process of creating physical objects layer by layer based on digital models.
3D Movies and animation: Three-dimensional movies and animation use stereoscopic techniques to create the illusion of depth, immersing viewers in a more realistic and immersive visual experience. You can use special glasses and displays to perceive the depth effect.
